Will someone please try this for me?

blue moon

Contrary to popular belief (in the US), Blue Moon, the “Belgian White” beer is Not. Actually. Belgian.

In fact, it falls under the umbrella of the Molson Coors Brewing company and is brewed in CANADA. If this is news to you, don’t worry, you are not alone. In 1999, the Confederation des Brasseries de Belgique (Confederation of Belgian Brewers) actually sued Coors for “allegedly misleading the American public into believing that Coors’ Blue Moon Brewing Co. ‘Belgian White’ beer is brewed in Belgium” prompting Coors to change their labels to say “Belgian style.”

Whether it’s Belgian white or Belgian style, Blue Moon is not something you find easily over here. Which is okay as the Belgian originals are even better than the Belgian styles… however, after seeing a review of Blue Moon’s summer offering: “Honey Moon Summer Ale” for some inexplicable reason I am dying to try it. I realize there are hundreds and hundreds of fabulous beers over here but, as the saying goes, you always want what you can’t have.

So, do have one for me and let me know what you think! Thanks 🙂
